Nice Location
per AlexThe absolute beauty of visiting Nice is its location on the French Riviera. As well as being a great city in its own right for a wicked weekend break, it’s also extremely well connected - a bit like the residents, some would think. From the station in the north of the city, head east to the beautiful principality of Monaco. You can easily spend the day seeing how the other half live, before catching the quick journey back to Nice in time for dinner. Alternatively head west to Cannes, the glamorous location of the famous film festival. There is a lovely golden sandy beach here, and the restaurants, although pricey, make a great lunch stop. What’s more, tickets on the trains cost just a few Euros, giving visitors to Nice the opportunity to see the best of the French Riviera on a tiny budget

Nice is more than Nice!
per AlexNice packs a punch for first time visitors. It offers the perfect combination of a city and beach break with the added benefit of it being an easy city to navigate. If coming along the main drag (The Promenade d’Anglais), you’ll notice the domed roof of the of the landmark Hôtel Negresco. Even if you’re not staying here, pop in for a look around. It's beautiful. The lovely old town with it’s the market area, which transforms into an outdoor dining area later on in the evening while shopping centres in the modern quarter are great for picking up fabulous French fashions, but best of all, take a walk around the coast, and enjoy the fine views. The only negative point of visiting Nice is the fact the main road runs alongside the Promenade D’Anglais and the sea, so lying on the beach isn’t particularly peaceful. But the rest of the Nice more than makes up for a bit of traffic: Fab food, fantastic people, and friendly on the purse strings too
