  • Shopping in Antalya

      per   Alex

Shopping in Antalya is actually pretty good. Admittedly you still see the same old souvenirs that you can get pretty much all over the touristy resorts in Turkey, but there are still some hidden gems to be found. Check out the quaint ceramic shops in the old town, but for some seriously upmarket shopping Turkish style, make tracks for the Kenan Evren boulevard located along the seafront cliffs toward the museum. • Loving Antalya

      per   Alex

There’s a lovely stretch of beach to sizzle on this summer in Turkey’s Antalya, where you can find why it’s called the the Turquoise Coast. But there’s no need to stay rooted to the beach in this Turkish resort. Make sure you wander the winding streets and old wooden houses of Kaleici, the old centre of Antalya. And if you enjoyed this experience, then hire a car and go explore. There’s plenty of sightseeing to be done here, such as visting the prehistoric Karain Cave and the classical ruins at Perge, Side and Aspendos. Also, if you’re lucky enough to visit Cirali in the first week of September around full moon you will be able to see just hatched loggerhead turtles venture into the sea. Alternatively, rent a bike and cycle along some of the 320-mile path between Antalya and Fethiye which runs along the ancient Lycian Way opened in 1996
